This classic Drinking Bird entertains for hours while demonstrating several scientific principles. First get its head wet. Then as the water evaporates, its temperature decreases and the methylene chloride vapor in the body condenses, decreasing the vapor pressure in the head relative to the vapor pressure in the abdomen forcing the blue fluid through its neck into the head causing the bird to become top-heavy, finally dipping forward. Once the bird "drinks" from the glass, the fuzzy material on its head absorbs water again, the fluid drains from the head and flows back into the abdomen, causing the bird to become bottom-heavy and tip upright again restarting the cycle.
